These Red, White, and Blue Donuts are the perfect Patriotic dessert for any Fourth of July cook out. These donuts are baked, so there is no need to get out the oil.

This Red, White, and Blue Donut recipe is super easy that even your kids can help you make them! No dough, no yeast, no rising, and no frying! Simply mix up the batter, pour into a donut pan, and bake! Super simple and they are adorable!

VARIATIONS OF RED, WHITE, AND BLUE DONUTS

These Donuts are ridiculously easy to customize. Add in your families favorite toppings to give these donuts a new look.

Some of my favorite add-ins are:

Sprinkles for a “Funfetti” Donut

Chopped Reese’s cup candy

Chopped Butterfinger candy

Fresh fruit like strawberries or blueberries

Really the options are endless. You can’t go wrong.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR RED, WHITE, AND BLUE DONUTS

This recipe is super simple and only requires one necessary piece of equipment which is a donut pan. That is it!

A stand mixer would make your life a little easier, but honestly I wouldn’t even dirty up the mixer and just use an ole’ bowl and whisk for this one.

INGREDIENT LIST

You, more than likely, already have all the ingredients needed in your pantry to make these Red, White, and Blue Donuts. You MAY need to grab some red, white, and blue sprinkles. I recommend checking out Sprinkle Pop, their sprinkles are amazing and by far the best I have found.

Gather these ingredients:

Flour

Granulated Sugar

Baking Powder

Egg

Milk

Vegetable Oil

Pure Vanilla Extract

Powdered Sugar

Red, White, and Blue sprinkles

HOW TO MAKE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE DONUTS

Preheat your oven to 350F and grease a standard donut pan with non-stick spray.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder and whisk to combine.

Add in the egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla and whisk to combine– mix just until no large lumps of flour remain. You don’t want to overmix.

Divide the mixture between the wells of the donut pan, filling each one about ¾ of the way full.

Bake the donuts in a preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until they are golden brown around the edges and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Transfer the doughnuts to a wire rack to cool before icing.

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.

Once the donuts have cooled, dip them in the icing and then top with sprinkles.

STORAGE

Keep the donuts in an air tight container at room temperature for up to three days (but I doubt they will last that long!)

If you love these Red, White, and Blue Donuts as much as I do, make sure you share it with your friends on Facebook and Pinterest so they can make it too!
